Banks Brown is a partner in McDermott Will & Emery LLP, and head of the New York Trial Department. He has been general counsel to the American Hotel & Lodging Association and the Hotel Association of New York City, Inc. since 1994. He also serves as general counsel to the Destination Marketing Association International (formerly the International Association of Conventions and Visitors Bureaus). He is co-author with Jack Jefferies of Understanding Hospitality Law, published by the Educational Institute and the recipient of the 2006 Anthony G. Marshall Award for Pioneering and Continuous Contributions to Hospitality Law. He graduated Harvard College in 1974 and the University of Virginia
School of Law in 1977.
